Agentic team development: building software with an AI agent team
Agentic team development means software is built not by a single AI assistant but by a team of AI agents, each with its own role. The team follows the same steps your engineering team does: it plans the work, reads the code, writes it, tests it, reviews it and opens a pull request. Facimus brings that team to your repository, with your rules and your approval.
A single assistant versus an agent team
A coding assistant answers a question or writes the lines you ask for; the rest of the job stays with you. An agent team takes the job from the board and carries it through a pipeline of specialised roles. Each role hands over to the next with evidence: the plan, the change, the test result, the review note.
Each agent focuses on its own work; the planner does not write code and the test agent does not plan. The result is not a chat but a pull request that is ready for review.
How Facimus runs an agent team
In Facimus every new job goes through the same pipeline and each stage's output stays on the job page:
- Planner: clarifies the job and writes a plan tied to acceptance criteria.
- Code reader: reads your repository, your rules and the app memory and checks the plan.
- Developer: codes the job on its own branch.
- Test writer: writes and runs the tests; failing or unrunnable tests stop the job, and if no tests ran the job is flagged.
- Reviewer: reviews the change against your rules and updates the docs.
- Git: pushes the change and opens the pull request (GitHub and Bitbucket).
- Revision: handles the comments you leave on the pull request.
- Scenario writer: drafts a test scenario for the change.
Why a team and not one agent?
Each role works with a narrow, focused context, which keeps long jobs on track. Testing is a separate gate: failing tests stop the job, and a job where no tests ran is flagged. The reviewer checks your rules on its own. On the live screen you see which agent is doing what, and the Value dashboard shows delivered work, cost and the estimated time saved.
Why you always stay in control
By default no code is written before you approve the plan. Every job runs on its own branch and arrives as a pull request; merging is always your call. You can set monthly and per-job budget caps, see every step in the audit log and run the runner inside your own network.
Getting started
Right after signing up you can watch the agent team work on a sample project. Then connect your repository, add your documents to the app memory and hand the team its first card.
Frequently asked questions
Is agentic team development the same as an AI coding assistant?
No. A coding assistant helps inside one chat; an agent team runs the job end to end with separate roles and records the output of every step, and brings the result as a pull request.
Do the agents merge code on their own?
No. Facimus opens a pull request; merging is always your call.
Which repositories does it work with?
On GitHub and Bitbucket it opens the pull request itself. On other git servers it pushes the branch and you open the pull request.
